I began dancing at Le Studio Danse in Mansfield, MA when I was four years old. Through hard work I steadily progressed. Freshman year, I auditioned to become a member of the Senior Dance Company. Thirty dancers were competing to fill six openings. When the audition results were posted, my ultimate aspiration was fulfilled. I pursued several leadership roles. Sophomore year, I created a non-profit organization called Ballet for a Cause. This organization collects and donates new and gently used dance attire for underprivileged dance students. I became a peer mentor when I was elected Junior Company Captain. Senior year, I became the Captain of the Senior Company.
These photos represent all of the positive experiences I have gained from dancing.
Applied Learning Project
Ballet for a Cause is a non-profit I created which collects new and gently used dance attire and donates the items to needing or underprivileged dance organizations in urban areas.
My applied learning project involves expanding Ballet for a Cause as well as choreographing a Senior Dance with my peers in order to perform it as a class in Le Studio Dance's recital in June 2017.
